We came for lunch and this place is simply spectacular. The ambiance was radiant and we loved all of the cool art. Julia was our server and she was so polite and really knew the menu. She gave us a few suggestions and we were very pleased. We had the bao buns, the sushi roll of the day, the roasted salmon bento and the Western ramen. All of the food was just sublime. The ramen broth had a nice kick and all of the food tasted very fresh and made with love. We finished our food adventure with a coffee cake drislled in expresso cream. It was interesting but still so yummy. I totally recommend this place to anybody in the area or traveling. This place hits hard.

Tokyo Cafe is easy to miss in the best and worst way. It is tucked into a yoga studio parking lot and I genuinely circled longer than I care to admit trying to find the entrance. The cars kind of block it, so you just have to commit and trust you are not in the wrong place. Once you get inside though, it is actually really cute and cozy. Also had a funny moment walking in like... where are my Asian people at? It is small but has a few different seating vibes. A sushi bar if you want something more low key, some dimly lit tables, and a brighter dining area where I landed. No outdoor seating, but it stays busy which was surprising given the location. Menu looked like it might be tough for a vegan at first glance, but my server was super knowledgeable and made it easy. I ended up with seaweed salad, cucumber salad, edamame, roasted brussels sprouts, and a tofu style poke bowl situation that was actually really good. Green tea was solid too. Only note is if you like spice, you have to ask for it because it is very mild on its own. It is a little pricier than expected for the setting, I was around $40 for lunch, and service was great. Amazing little Japanese restaurant. Finally got to eat lunch here and wasn't disappointed. Ordered a bunch of small plates and am happy to report they are properly sized plates. Not too small, not too big. Just enough to share a bunch of them with another person or order 1-2 of if you're not that hungry. Recommend the Okonomiyaki and Bao. I will come back another time to try the ramen/sushi/entrees. The worst thing about this place is the parking. VERY small lot and limited street parking available. Be prepared to park across the street and walk. Highly advise carpooling or rideshare/taxi/bike. Cute little sushi bar in back corner if that's all you want to order and can sit by yourself on a stool. Front seating area is bright with lots of fun windows and lanterns. Parties larger than 4 will need a reservation, but even just 2 people will need to wait a little at lunch/dinner. Should call ahead to check wait times if you don't want to wait. There are 4 slat benches for waiting inside. Single room toilets only.

The food is really good. The only thing didn’t wow me is the friend rice. It’s very blend. Our favorites are Hama Chili, Bao Buns, and TOKYOkomomiyaki. They are so tasty. If you eat raw fish, Hama Chili is a must for you. We usually don’t get dessert after meal but you MUST try their Miso Cake and Crepe cake. They aren’t too sweet or greasy. Perfect dessert. We’re coffee lovers and the coffee ice cream is the best coffee flavor ice cream I have ever had. Our waitress Karla is really sweet. She always made sure we got everything and refilled the drinks. The restaurant is very cute and clean. We’ll definitely come back again. ❤️🤌

Highly recommend this place! Hama Chili was my favorite! Beef bowl with poached egg was awesome. Fries were a 10/10. Ohhh and let's not forget the heated toilet seats in the bathroom!!! Pleasant surprise
